In my bed
written by : robertb
Walking down the street one very dark nightShadows on the walls, faces in the dark
Fear on my face, but unseen with no light
No noise, no cars, not even a dog's bark
All alone I wander on to get home
I wonder if I will ever get there
I wander on to get home all alone
Not alone I realize, the faces stare
An arm grabs my coat with an unclean hand
I fright, I run away, but I am lost
Lost? No, God no, they are here, I can't stand
Death is my fear, I am scared, I am lost
They have found me now and I know my end
I can't run...I stop...I am...in my bed

This is a beautiful poem Robert, although I persornally think that the title of the poem gives the reader a clue an unticipated twist that is hoever creatively crafted. writen by Marota
