CHANDELIER

written by : tutu

I'm the light at the end of the hall,
Bringing joy to gloomy alleys in the path of life,
In this ever evolving and tricky journey to greatness,
Firmly I stood to ward-off darkness; I'm the beacon like bacon that nourishes.

With transitions taking vast dispensations,
I'm still the light that no one seems to see and appreciate efforts made.
Through my presence children run pell-mell over life,
Like a clown in their circus, I'm the sweetness in their citrus.

These eyes are weary; and a heartbeat is too faint,
There's stress on legs to even carry a single bulb.
Hope they'd remember me from where I lit and their lives shone,
I'm the chandelier that kicked a chair as lifelessly I dangle.
