Broken Mirror ( 63 Views)

written by : Love,-Butterfly

Love is like a broken mirror,
Particles of a shattered element that holds our universe together,
When put together a reflection of who I am is displayed;
When our hearts come together, with all of life's experiences and love is formed,
I see an inescapable reflection of who I am;
I see myself through your eyes and its, yes, its okay,
My weaknesses become strengths,
My tears a smile and half,
My disappointments into dreams as I strive to hope again;
I will die putting together these pieces because this is the story of our lives;

Our dreams run a hundred times faster than reality,
But at the end of the day reality always arrives there first;
I am glad though, because the reality is heaven has dropped the perfect gift for me;
In this mirror, when put together, I see an unpainted picture,
My breath I hold,
As I fall into this endless hole of your beauty untold;
Yes, such beauty that few have seen hidden in the depths of who you are,
By grace you were given because I did not deserve,
To preserve you has become the sole purpose of my distinction;

In the rush of putting these pieces together,
Cuts and bruises are inevitable as emotions propel us to desperately seek each other,
But as our eyes meet we understand,
For it is in those moments that we see a glimpse of our reflections,
It is in those moments that we see ourselves through each others eyes;
Paradox of love they call it,
By loving you I love myself because I am engraved in you;
I will die putting together these pieces because this is the reflection of our lives;
