The Path to Freedom ( 199 Views)

written by : bagust

We walked the path, the bloodstained road
built by a racist friend
We scaled the tower of tears overwhelming
us
but came to no better end

Once we were warriors of renown
our power was unmatched
But now we stand against a foe
who builds with double thatch

We roamed shadowed streets
where none may walk unchecked
We cowered behind the ruins of
Equality, Freedom, Respect

Today we rise against our foe
Tomorrow we shall cry
But never again shall words be sheathed
Under the Apartheid sky.

Indeed poet, Yesternight Apart-hate preyed our blood, This day Capital-yeast rise our rumbling desert tummies & Tomorrow donkeys shall yoke the fat-few for donkey's years. writen by Marota
