Beauty lies nowhere in the passing cars
and not in the worldly workings of man
but in the dimming light of distant stars and
the pleading grasp of a baby's hand,
there in a flower by a rubbish bin,
and in the darkest rain from skies of grey.

Don't sit and ignore it, don't commit that sin.

Beauty is here just a few steps away.
I watch as the sun rises up to a point where
dew drops brighten a darkened street,
until early drivers seem to anoint them with
hate, destruction and deceit.

Don't let your eyes wonder over these things.
True beauty lies in the life nature brings.
