Like the creak and crack of old brittle knees,
The avalanche crushes the delicate trees.
While spreading his arms out wide,
He gathers more snow with pride.
It's like running the 100 metre dash,
The champion is as quick as a flash!
With one gigantic stride,
He slows down to join the glacier's slide,
Having swallowed everything deep inside!
