The story of my life ( 129 Views)

written by : Mbodime@eskom.co.za

Since birth,life a battlefield
I fought the craddle, trying to kiss the stars
Cracks on my lips bears witness to my accidental kiss to a chapped rock

I ran and hope, focused on the tracks
Now I sport a huge plaster and the record is broken!
I ran myself to a bottomless pit of shame

I believe I can fly, such is my inspiration.I am drowning, credit to my perspiration, weary of life!
The steel cage is feeding on all my endevours for freedom

Did you hear the sound?A deafening thunder?Like a house of cards,so did my hopes and desires collapse.

I can't duck the sound of laughter nextdoor.
The comedy of my tragedy tickles them wildly
I can't join the chorus as the joke is on me

Weaved like a mat,a pack of lies meatly stacked.
Trapdoors heavily disguised to assist the force of gravity
Souls assigned to melt me down and tire my heart.

Filled with scorn they greet
Their greetings a gimmick
I wave them away as if to dismiss their satire
This is the story of my life
